The American Heart Association requires that all students have the current appropriate student workbook or student manual for class. Workbooks and the student manuals from the American Heart Association comes with a CD and reminder cards. Most participants find it beneficial to have access to the book after class for reviewing the material. Students may purchase the appropriate student workbooks or student manuals in advance from one of the following websites:

HEARTSAVER will have available for purchase, the required student workbooks and manuals for all of the courses. The cost will be either $12.00 or $15.00 depending on which course you are taking.
HEARTSAVER will also have for purchase. With training, the barrier CPR Mask could be used on adults, children or infants is $10.00 or 15.00 for the combination mask comes with adult & infant mask.
Each of the CPR courses provided by HEARTSAVER includes: adult, child and infant CPR, choking, the use of the CPR barrier mask and HEARTSAVER include AED (automated external defibrillator) training at no additional cost.
HEARTSAVER gives you complete training and does not split your training by teaching you only adult CPR or only infant CPR. To be properly trained and for you to be properly prepared HEARTSAVER will train in everything, all for the same low price. It serves no purpose just going through the motions, because this may be your family member or friend (adult, child, or infant) needing CPR or First Aid.
About the Courses
Heartsaver CPR Approximately: 2 1/2 hours
This course is designed for any man, women or child wanting to learn how to perform CPR. This course teaches adult, child and infant CPR, relief of choking in adults, children and infants. AED Training, normally is not part of this course, but HEARTSAVER will include training in the use of (AED) Automated External Defibrillator at no additional cost.
This course would be beneficial anyone who are willing to perform CPR on a family member, a customer, a friend, a co-worker or a strangers. This course would be beneficial for manager and employees of businesses or organizations that has contact with people. Police, security, babysitters, daycare/childcare providers, shopping malls employees, hotels / motel employees, amusement parks, lifeguards, fitness center workers, cab drivers, construction workers and those who have swimming pools. Also those businesses that has an (AED) automated external defibrillator adults and children who are willing to learn CPR will be taught. Several AED's will be shown
Healthcare Provider BLS (Initial / Renewal) Approximately: 3 1/2 hours
This course covers adults, child, infants CPR, two rescuer CPR, airway obstructions, the use of the AED, the use of the barrier CPR mask and use of the bag valve mask.
This course is beneficial to all Healthcare Providers in hospitals, clinics and those working with patients. Those would include doctors, physician assistants, dentist, nurses, respiratory therapist, physical therapist, chiropractors, and others who must have a (BLS) Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider certification course completion card for their job.
Basic Knowledge (Community Service Outreach)
Providing service to the community with education about CPR and providing hands on practice on the manikins. For those who do not require CPR certification or a certification card.

Combination Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid with CPR/AED Approximately. 5 hours
This course teaches you how to manage illness & injuries specifically for children until professional help arrives. Topics include First Aid Basics including infant choking. Medical Emergency including diabetes, seizures and shock, asthma, allergic reaction and the use of the epinephrine pen. Injury Emergencies including cuts, bruises, bleeding, broken bones, and burns etc..
This course would be beneficial to those working with children such as daycare or childcare providers, parents, teachers, babysitters, foster care parents, camp counselors, new parents etc. With the combination Pediatric First Aid with CPR/AED you will be trained in Pediatric First Aid along with adult, child and infant CPR, choking and the use of the AED.
Combination First Aid (Adult) with CPR/AED Approximately: 5 hours
This course teaches you how to manage illness & injury in the first few minutes before professional help arrives. Included in this course are General Principles, Medical Emergency & Injury including choking, shock, fainting, chest pain, heart attack, seizure, bleeding, broken bones, burns, allergic reaction and the use of the epinephrine pen etc. This course would be beneficial to those who would respond to a first aid or cardiac emergencies.

Church Discount
HEARTSAVER will write a check for 20% of the total cost of the course and gift it back to the church as a gift offering. Church groups or church organization will need to take the course as a group and the church is paying for the course.
